Lighting Fixture Buy-back Program

No better time for LED
LED lighting is the most energy efficient and best-looking lighting option available today. LEDs are the future, and the change is inevitable. Many facility owners who have installed T5 fluorescent lamps in recent years are reluctant to upgrade to LED simply because they have not yet utilized the full lamp life of their recent lighting investment. Owners that use older “gas and glass” lighting fixtures such as metal halide, or high pressure sodium may just need an extra nudge to experience the benefits of solid state Cree® LED lighting.

CGE Energy will buy back your lighting fixtures
CGE Energy will buy back your existing light fixtures at predetermined rebate amounts. These will be instantly credited to your LED lighting upgrade project cost. An example of the amounts per fixture (not individual lamps) are to the right

A bright way to donate
We strive to take every opportunity to make a difference. Every energy efficient fixture we buy back will be donated to a deserving non-profit organization to allow them to become more energy efficient and environmentally friendly. Less efficient fixtures will be responsibly recycled. The best part: you take the credit! You will be able to capture the donation tax write-off as well as claim the asset abandonment tax deduction. Your donation will also be mentioned within a press release focusing on your energy savings and carbon footprint reduction.
Customers making an impact
Telegraph Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of Taylor, Michigan not only wanted to become more energy efficient, but they wanted to make a difference and pay the energy savings forward. The auto dealership donated their used T5 fluorescent fixtures after a recent LED lighting upgrade.
Meanwhile, the Francis Family YMCA in Toledo, Ohio was having issues with their pool lighting, and could not get replacement lamps for their discontinued fixtures. It was very important for them to fix this before the daylight hours shortened.
By Telegraph’s generous donation, the Francis Family YMCA was able to have a well-lit pool area for swimmers to stay safe and have fun at all hours of the day. Without having to invest in new fixtures, the YMCA was able to use their funds to continue changing lives, and building a stronger community.
