Merry Christmas from CGE Energy

Dear CGE Energy Family,

With Christmas upon us and 2017 coming to a close, it’s the perfect time to look back at this extraordinary year. We carefully executed our plan and we’re immensely proud of the work that our team has done, both through building our energy solutions and by making a difference in the world.

Together, we’re making an impact on one of the most important issues facing society– energy. Here in the U.S., $120 billion dollars is being wasted in energy each year. The success of our company is innovating sustainability solutions, empowering other businesses and non-profits, and creating American jobs and opportunities. And if we are able to build a billion dollar business by recycling money that would be wasted otherwise, it’s a win-win.

2017 was quite a year for all of us at CGE. We’ve been through many exciting developments and achieved a huge amount. With the launch of our Sustain program, our initial projects totaled $7.7 million in sales (and a greater amount in customer savings!). Of these sales, we have had traction with universities, manufacturing facilities and municipals. We have also carved out a couple other unique niche markets, such as developing the Nation’s first joint Energy Performance Contract for small HUD public housing agencies.

In September, we gave a glimpse of our one-tenth scale working demonstration unit of the WIND-e20 wind turbine. The important decision to partner with a world-class firm like Roush Industries to make it a reality was a game changer. Our teams are moving forward on engineering and optimizing the design of the full-size production turbines as well.

To each of you reading this letter, use the next few days to enjoy this time with your friends and loved ones. With many impactful energy projects in the pipeline, our entire team is excited about what’s in store for next year. As you begin 2018, make sure you remember that you have the “power to make a difference”. Making a difference in someone’s life is what the Holiday season is all about.
