CGE Energy and CREE LED Upgrade Renowned Cadillac Dealer

The name Cadillac has long been accepted as a brand name that sells itself. It is the go-to luxury vehicle for General Motors drivers, and potential buyers frequent the Novi, Michigan automotive dealership when considering the purchase of a new Cadillac. In fact, Cadillac of Novi is recognized as the number one Cadillac dealer in the nation.
Even with such a renowned brand and standing, Cadillac of Novi, in their constant pursuit of distinction, wanted to improve their customers’ evening car-buying experience. They looked to CGE Energy to help with this cause by improving their dealership’s parking lot lighting with energy efficient CREE LED lighting.
After a complete survey of the dealership, CGE Energy’s engineers were able to reduce the number of necessary light fixtures from 140 to 71. Fewer fixtures combined with the energy savings of LED lighting reduced the dealership’s energy use by 76%. These energy efficient fixtures also remove the orange or green colorcasts that are commonly seen under older lighting technology. Instead, they render the vehicles in true-to-life colors, so a pure white Escalade looks just as beautiful under an LED light at night as it does under the sunlight by day. CGE Energy was also able to secure the dealership a $19,000 energy rebate for their upgrade for even more savings.
Along with the savings incurred from the rebate, Cadillac of Novi will realize a 12-month return on investment, with an average monthly energy and maintenance savings of $2,283. The projected savings in energy costs stand at $314,043 over the next 10 years.
Taking things a step further, in order to ensure top-notch lighting in the future, Cadillac of Novi decided to also become a part of CGE Energy’s RAMP Lighting Maintenance program. RAMP is worry-free lighting maintenance service that will keep the Novi dealership’s parking lot and interior showroom looking their best throughout the lifetime of the lighting.
